During operations Windmill Group endeavor to minimize the environmental impact of works on the environment whilst benefiting the client with the efficient recycling of materials generated in the process of preparing the site for construction.

The ambition for Windmill is to recycle 90% of all material on site using innovative methods such as:

- Concrete and brick are processed to make Type 1, 6F2 and various other grades of aggregate

- plaster can be mixed with top soil or reconstituted into similar products

- all metals are distributed to scrap dealers for re smelting

- timber can be used for construction and chipped for mulch, chip boards or paper

Any items of architectural note or interest are set aside for specialist assessment and reuse.
